Second album by Finnish Psych-folk band "Kosmos". Polku is their second album which was released in late 2006 contains some of the most beautiful untreated female vocals I’ve heard in recent times. The vocals are in the band’s native tongue but doesn’t distract the listener at all. It, along with the instrumentation makes for a nice dreamy, psychedelic 70's feel.
Somewhere between John Martyn,Moody Blues and King Crimson, Kosmos are a bit of an oddity in the Finnish contemporary scene. Features female vocals and an intricate tapestry of instruments. Recommended if you like Mellow Candle and top-drawer 70's sounding progressive folk.
Self-released by the band. MINT
