The recordings were made between 1977 and 1984. We recorded Mrs. Petrics Anna Csobán’s songs in her house in June 18th 1983 in Egyházaskozár, along with the flute playing of Pál Gusa in the flat belonging to the József Ládás family. The songs of Mrs. Mária Gyurka were recorded in her home on June 30th 1984. The new recordings of the songs of Mrs. Rozália Gyurka and Róza Benke on location turned out to be of inferior quality, and so they feature on this record with earlier recordings. I recorded the songs of Mrs. Róza Benke in a hotel room when we were on tour together in Sweden. The songs of Mrs. Rozális Gyurka are taken from recordings of mine made on March 5th 1977 in Egyházaskozár. Ferenc Sebő
